Duncan laughed, “Would you look at that! Serge’s running on MagRes! Césaire slipped right past him and with all the rebar in the factory, he didn’t notice! That’s going to cost him some armor, and a few points with the crowd!”

“Not to mention a few points at the bookies,” Cal cut in with a wicked grin. “This—”

“He’ll recover, though. Serge’s a total pro, and he’s still got the firepower to—Woah!” Duncan interrupted himself, “an excellent bit of prediction by Ngoc Binh and his Marauder! He’s caught Ken Hachiman with his pants around his ankles! I don’t think those two were expecting to see each other so close, and—ooh, a lucky shot by Hachiman! His Samurai luck must be holding, and I know the folks in the Draconis Suns must be cheering that hit! Binh is going to be feeling that one in the morning, and if he’s not careful, Isadora’s going to roll up behind him in her Guillotine! Still, Ken has to get out of there; he can’t withstand many more kicks like that, even if help is on the way—”

“Teams are randomizing!” Cal interjected, “It looks like—”

“Bad luck for the bottom floor,” Fisher continued unabated. “With the Guillotine and the Marauder in tandem, and the Axman already in position; they’ve got Legionnaire and Kokuryu trapped between a hammer and an anvil; and no help from Boyington’s Thunderbolt in sight! What’s he doing up there, Cal?”

“It looks like he’s waiting out the team change before he makes a decision what to do next, Duncan,” Cal replied through gritted teeth, growing increasingly more incensed that he was being made second-fiddle on his own show to the gregarious Fisher.

“Speaking of waiting, I’m reminded of the first time I landed here on Solaris Seven,” Fisher rambled. “Back then, security was so tense I spent a good three hours trapped on my DropShip waiting to disembark. If it weren’t for our good friends at Federated-Boeing Interstellar, that wait would’ve been one of the longest and most uncomfortable of my life; but with the plush jump seats and excellent craftsmanship of the good-old Federated-Boeing Leopard-class DropShip, I barely noticed! So this is just a big thumbs-up to Federated-Boeing; where their motto is: Federated-Boeing! We make DropShips!”
